Directions
by road
Based
on approaching Birmingham
on the M6 motorway
Leave M6 Motorway at junction 6 (Spaghetti Junction) and
acquire lane on slip road to join A38(M) Birmingham Central
(Aston Expressway).
Clearing Spaghetti Junction
and entering Expressway, acquire LH lane of carriageway. The overhead
sign gantry reads ‘Aston & Waterlinks’.
Leave the
motorway at first junction - ‘Aston & Waterlinks’ and
maintain LH lane of slip road.
At the island turn left (1st exit)
signposted 'Aston, Aston University, Saltley'.
Travel along the
carriageway for approximately quarter of a mile maintaining LH
lane.
At the island carry straight on (2nd exit).
Travel along the carriageway
for approximately quarter of a mile and acquire RH lane as soon
as possible.
At the island (landmark - imitation lock
gates and barge in centre) turn right (3rd exit) signposted ‘Saltley’.
Continue
along Thimble Mill Lane (landmark - Aston Manor Brewery on RH side).
At
the island carry straight on (2nd exit) signposted 'Saltley B4132'.
Acquire
LH lane of dual carriageway (landmark - Wing Yip Chinese Supermarket.
At the traffic island carry straight on (2nd exit) onto the Saltley
B4132 into Goodrick Way.
Approximately 50
yards from the traffic island turn left into Nechells Place.
The
road bears right and over a railway bridge - (landmark - Albion
Vaults Public House ahead).
At the road junction take the 2nd left
(the road turns off at approximately 45° leaving the
Albion Vaults Pub on your RH side (do not go straight on).
We are
located approximately 100 yards from the junction on RH
side opposite the former Transco site (gasholders demolished, new warehouses now built)
and before the road end.
